Important Update: HBF Run for a Reason Access & Post-Run Recovery

On Sunday, 24 May 2026, The Pavilion will be buzzing with energy as thousands of participants cross the HBF Run for a Reason finish line at Gloucester Park!

With over 40,000 runners and supporters expected in the area, we want to ensure all our Pavilion Members, casual users, and visiting families are well-prepared for the day.

Important Access & Parking Restrictions

To all our dedicated Pavilion Members, casual users, and BlueFit Swimming families: please be aware that the event will bring massive crowds and significant changes to traffic conditions in the area.

If you are planning to visit The Pavilion for a workout or a swim on Sunday morning, please plan ahead:

• Road Closures: Expect significant road closures and limited vehicle access around the facility.
• Restricted Parking: Street parking will be heavily restricted. There are only very limited spots available at the WACA and Queens Park Garden.
• Plan Your Trip: We highly recommend allowing extra travel time or utilising public transport (plan your trip via Transperth) to avoid frustration.

Post-Run Recovery & Casual Family Swimming

Despite the crowds outside, The Pavilion will be operating business as usual! Since the Gloucester Park finish line festival is right on our doorstep, we warmly welcome all event attendees and their supporters to drop by the facility:

• Runners: After you cross the finish line, there is no better way to soothe those tired, aching muscles than with a rejuvenating recovery swim in our pools.
• Families & Supporters: If you are hanging around The Pavilion enjoying the family zone and food trucks, bring your swimmers and pop in for a splash!

Just a quick note for our BlueFit Swimming community: While formal swim school lessons do not run on Sundays, our pools are fully open and ready for casual, family fun.

Whether you are here to recover from the big run or just to enjoy a Sunday splash while avoiding the traffic, we look forward to seeing you at The Pavilion!
