Whether you’re chasing speed, spin or a repeat-ride favourite, our two waterslides deliver serious fun in the heart of the WACA Ground precinct.

Shaped like a giant red cricket ball, The Spinner is our headline thrill ride. This high-energy raft slide delivers speed, momentum and a powerful finish, making it a must-ride for confident sliders looking for maximum excitement.

The Quick - Speed with a side of chaos (the good kind).

The Quick slide is a fast, punchy body slide built for repeat runs. Short, sharp and full of energy, it’s a crowd favourite for riders who love speed and a clean, high-tempo finish.

Rider Requirements

To ride our waterslides, guests must meet the minimum requirements below:

  • Minimum height: 120cm
  • Maximum weight: 120kg

(The Spinner Raft slide has a combined rider weight limit of 180kg)

A confident swimming ability is strongly recommended. Guests may be required to demonstrate basic water competency at the direction of lifeguards.

Supervision

Children must be supervised at all times in accordance with the Pavilion’s supervision guidelines, conditions of entry and lifeguard instructions. Lifeguards have final authority on slide access and rider suitability. Further information is available at our supervision page.

Slide Safety Rules

To keep everyone safe and the rides running smoothly, all riders must follow these rules:

  • Wait for the lifeguard’s signal before starting
  • Feet first only, no alternative riding positions
  • One rider or one raft at a time
  • No loose items, including jewellery, phones, goggles or eyewear
  • Follow queue directions and keep the launch area clear

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in loss of slide access.

Health Advice

Waterslides are not recommended for guests who are pregnant or who have medical conditions that may be aggravated by high-speed activity. If you’re unsure whether a slide is suitable for you, please speak with a member of our team before riding.

Do waterslides run all day or in sessions?

Waterslides operate in scheduled sessions, rather than continuously throughout the day.

Operating times are:

  • Monday to Friday: 4.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Weekends and school holidays: 10.00am – 4.00pm

Session times may vary due to weather conditions, WACA Ground events, patronage levels or operational requirements. We recommend checking website alerts or speaking with reception prior to your visit to avoid disappointment.

Are slides included with entry or an additional cost?

Waterslide access is not included with standard aquatic entry. An additional fee applies for slide use, as outlined in the Pavilion’s current fees and charges.

What happens if slides are closed due to events or maintenance?

From time to time, waterslides may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • WACA Ground events
  • Weather conditions
  • Routine maintenance or safety checks
  • Operational or lifeguard requirements

If slides are unavailable, our pools and other aquatic facilities remain open as normal. We’ll always aim to provide updates at reception, on our website where possible.

Can I ride with my child on a raft?

Yes, The Spinner raft slide allows single or double riders, provided:

  • All riders meet the minimum height and age requirements
  • Combined rider weight remains within the safe operating limits
  • Lifeguards approve the pairing at dispatch

Children must be confident riders, and lifeguards have final discretion on rider combinations to ensure safety.

Are school groups and birthday parties able to access the slides?

Yes, the Slides will be available to school groups and birthday parties based on private bookings and events. For group bookings or party enquiries, please contact our team to enquire.

Is there a minimum height or age to ride the slides?

Yes. All riders must meet the minimum height and age requirements to use the waterslides. These requirements are in place for safety and are strictly enforced by lifeguards.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer to use the slides?

A confident swimming ability is strongly recommended. Guests may be required to demonstrate basic water competency at the direction of lifeguards before accessing the slides.

What should I wear on the waterslides?

Appropriate swimwear is required. Loose clothing, denim, or garments with zips, metal fasteners or sharp edges are not permitted on the slides.

Can I take my phone, GoPro or goggles on the slides?

No. Loose items are not permitted on the waterslides, including phones, cameras, jewellery, goggles or eyewear.

Are waterslides accessible for all abilities?

Due to the high-speed and physical nature of waterslides, access may be limited for some guests. If you have specific accessibility questions, please speak with our team prior to your visit so we can help guide the best experience for you.
