The Pavilion’s Splash Park is a safe, vibrant water play space designed for families with younger children, the perfect place to cool off, explore and burn off some energy.

Packed with interactive sprays, water jets, slides and playful features, the Splash Park encourages imaginative play and confidence in the water, all within a shallow, family-friendly environment.

At the heart of the Splash Park, a giant tipping bucket delivers a crowd-favourite splash moment, delighting kids as it fills and spills in a wave of excitement. Surrounding water features and mini play elements keep little ones engaged and entertained throughout the day.

Set among shaded trees and a grassed area, with comfortable poolside seating close by, the Splash Park is an ideal place for families to relax, set up a base and enjoy a fun day out together at the Pavilion.

What is the Splash Park?

The Splash Park is a shallow, interactive water play area designed especially for young children. With sprays, jets and tipping water features, it’s a safe and fun space for kids to splash, explore and build confidence in the water.

Do Splash Park features run all day?

Splash Park features generally operate during standard aquatic operating hours, however availability may vary throughout the day based on patron demand and weather conditions.

Features may be temporarily paused or turned off due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Routine maintenance or safety checks
  • Operational requirements

We recommend checking website alerts or speaking with reception before your visit.

Is the Splash Park included with entry?

Yes. Access to the Splash Park is included with standard aquatic entry and does not require an additional fee.

What age is the Splash Park suitable for?

The Splash Park is best suited for toddlers and young children. Older children are welcome, however the area is designed as a low-depth, play-focused environment, rather than a swimming or high-activity zone. Some age and height requirements apply to the Pavilion’s waterslides, which are separate from the Splash Park. We recommend checking these before use.

Does my child need to be supervised?

Yes. Active adult supervision is required at all times.
While lifeguards are present in the aquatic areas to monitor safety and respond to emergencies, they do not provide direct supervision of children. Parents and carers must remain within arm’s reach and actively watch their children while using the Splash Park.

Are swim nappies required?

Yes. Children who are not toilet trained must wear an suitable swim nappy while using the Splash Park.
Disposable swim nappies are available for purchase at reception if needed.

What should children wear in the Splash Park?

Appropriate swimwear is required. For hygiene and safety reasons:

  • Regular nappies are not permitted
  • Cotton clothing or loose garments are not permitted

Sun-protective swimwear such as rash vests is recommended, particularly for outdoor use.

Is the Splash Park heated?

Water temperatures are maintained at a comfortable, child-friendly level. During cooler or windy weather, the Splash Park may feel cooler than indoor pools.

Can food or drinks be taken into the Splash Park?

No. For safety and hygiene reasons, food, glass and drinks are not permitted within the Splash Park area.
Designated seating and café areas are located nearby and are perfect for breaks and snacks.

Are school groups or birthday parties able to use the Splash Park?

Yes. The Splash Park may be included as part of school visits, group bookings or birthday parties, subject to availability, supervision requirements and centre programming.
Bookings are required.

Is the Splash Park suitable for children with additional needs?

Yes. The Splash Park is designed to be inclusive and accessible, with open layouts and gentle water features suitable for a wide range of abilities.
The Pavilion also has a Changing Places facility available onsite to support children and carers who require additional space and equipment. Access is available via an electronic MLAK access card, which can be collected from reception during your visit.
